• UNESCO Free Software Portal
  Highly recommended resource site which explains the goals behind "Free Software" and provides an extensive catalog of software and even some case studies!
• Source Forge
  A searcable directory of open source software projects. Most open source projects have their project cataloged in Source Forge.

• wxPython
  A toolkit for developing cross-platform applications in Python. Each platform uses the system's native controls, so users feel like the application was written on and for their platform.
• SWISH-E
  This is a search engine which forms the core of EClass' full-text search capabilities.
  
• Mozilla
  Mozilla's software powers the HTML Editor in EClass and provides a cross-platform web browser that enables previewing on Windows, Mac and Linux.
