Software Tools

The EClass Toolkit will provide software tools for designing, building, implementing and evaluating e-learning. These tools are free to use, modify and redistribute, but come AS IS, with NO WARRANTY of any kind. It is comprised primarily of three components:

EClass.Manager (in development)
EClass.Manager provides complete project lifecycle management. Features:

• Learner profiling tools
  • Generate pre-evaluation forms and statistically analyze results
• Copyright management
  • Identifies and tracks copyright issues and versioning (final/draft content)
• Logistics Management
• Tracks resources and budget
• Evaluation tools
• Generates evaluation forms, database for storing and analyzing results

EClass.Builder (beta version available)
EClass.Builder enables you to organize your digital multimedia content into a learning module for publishing to CD-ROM or the Internet. Features:

• Build modules by creating “pages” – a hypertext document (HTML) with multimedia content and metadata
• Template-based – all pages share a consistent look and feel
• Adding metadata and multimedia is point-and-click, no HTML experience required
• Organizes pages into a book-like structure, for easy navigation and guidance
• Intergrates with OpenOffice.org and Greenstone for advanced functionality

EClass.Web (in development)
EClass.Web enables you to manage your online courses and make your courses more interactive. Features:

• Simple, intuitive interface
• Web-based interface for editing content
• Works with private (password protected) or open courses
• Collaboration tools – discussion forums and file sharing
